Do have some pictures from the second connector?
May be you took the wrong one?

Does your engine look like this one?

Hi,
here are pictures from smaller connector from M001.

Once more I tried to find free connector around the steering wheel and nothing.
So now I have a question, if is anyone, who has 120PS 1.9 with original tempomat to compare connectors on M001. Maybe is under the window inside, where I can't see it.
Is possible, that my M001 doesn't support CC :-(

Hi,

it seems you are right.
The connector(s) of the 1.9 M-Jet are definitely different from the connectors used in the T-Jet models.
So, now you need someone who has the electrical plans for the M-Jet model to identify the correct 'pins' for the CC, but unfortunately i do not have this material.

By the way:
Did you look at this place, too?
Klick

Mal eine Frage in die Runde:
Kann jemand TOMBY_CZ mit dem passenden Schaltplan für die CC in einem 1.9 M-Jet aushelfen? Der Plan in dados Anleitung passt offensichtlich nur auf die T_Jets.

Tomby: As far as I know, all the M-Jets do have the Connector, they are just hidden around the steering wheel. Did you make absolutely sure that the Connector isn't there?

Scubidu24,

Hi all!
So I forgot to watch eLearn CD. At evening I once more watched and tried all connectors around steering wheel. Anyone was free. Everyone was connected to the ring under the steering wheel.

In eLearn a found diferences between motors.
Connectors depends on motors and DPF filter.
In my motor are these pins for CC:
38, 56, 77, 78 and in reality I have them filled with yellow pins.
Now I have to lay cables as in guide for 150 T-Jet.

Hi Tomby,
if the pins are blocked by the yellow pins, you can start with the work. But be 100% sure, that these are the correct numbers for your car.
On the electronic scheme you see for what every cable is for. This is important if you buy the arm from Alfa Romeo.
Obviously they don't use the same colors. Check every function of the arm whit a ohmmeter and compare it to the scheme before you connect it to your car.

greetz,
dado

scubidu24: I had all covers around steering wheel down. But nothing.

dado:
What is the best for cables with pins in M010A. I think, that get another one will be diificult problem. Can I use some other electric part on it?

I'm not good at electric in the car. Do you mean compair function with ohmemeter between cables from M010A and free lay CC arm?
This way I can recognise CC function on M010A before buy CC arm, is it?

Thanks all

TOMBY_CZ,

if you are not familiar with electric components, wiring and/or electronic schemes, then you should do yourself a favour and look for someone else who can!
There is a potentially risk to destroy your M001 while connecting the wires in the wrong order.

I totally agree with tagwia!
If you're not absolutly sure about what you're doing, you better don't do it. The electronic part is very delicate.
And remember - you'll need approx. 4 hours to do this work, because you have to act very carefully. Trust me - it's cheaper to be careful than buying a new M001 ;)

As tagwia wrote a couple of posts earlier, he took the cables from an old floppy drive. I took the cables from an old Fiat cable harness.
It doesn't matter where you take the cables from, just be sure that the cable socket is identical to the original ones (it has to guarantie permanent contact), and that the cables are well isolated. Maybe you lay them trough a tube, to protect them against mechanical action.

I ment to test the functions of the arm whit an ohmmeter. So you know which cable of the arm you have to connect to the M001.

I'm not sure if your M001 provides the Cruise Control function, but I think so. Also I didn't know if it works, before i tested it... So i wouldn't be worry about that.

Cheers,
dado

Hi,
I'm understanding of the scheme, but I haven't experience with so small cables.
I decided, let it do with someone expert. For him it will be work for hour.

Thanks for all

Yeah!
Great job, congratulations.
But.. you say the cable work has been done by Fiat and Cruise Control is under warranty? It seems that Fiat CZ is more flexible than in other countries ^^

Well, have fun with CC, and I wish you a good "cruise" into the weekend!
Cheers
