Hello from Germany ;-)

Your car looks very nice, I have a black one too and the stripes look very good! Especially the position in the middle of the car. We had only some pictures with stripes on the left or right side of the bonnet. But I think that having stripes in the middle of the bonnet is the best idea.

What about the film on your front light? Is the light still the same?

Update: I just read the information in the other thread ;-)

Also from me a hello from Germany.

It's something else to read and write in English, freshens the English language in a time yet. A long time ago that I spoke English, and have written more than ever.

Wish you much fun with your Bravo, and the stripes are really very nice, the Lamin-x Tint film of course too. Only the mirror are with the crome to extreme, I think.

Hello and thank you Frank !

So, a good lanquage practise for all then ! :-D Chrome mirror caps were a must
for me last winter  When the chrome surface goes off, I have decided to
paint it matt silver or with carbon- look sheet.

Actually a first question ! I have seen in this Forum a member who has Bravo´s
front grilles in honeycomb- style. Is this self made or are these for sale in a
certain link ? Thank´s !

Yes ists a goog language for all how can English ;)

For the Mirror Caps woult i take Carbon Look for your car.

The Grilles with honeycomb-style are a self-made grill from a VM Scirocco Grill search "Wabengrill" in and you will Find a HowTo.

Boar mein Englisch ist voll eingerostet / Sorry for my rusty english ;)

We understand each other, that is the main thing !
Aha, the grille is from a Scirocco, ok. Thank´s.

Perhaps the best modification so far for me was the Martelius exhaust.
Wanted the 2 x 2 pipes  ;-) and took the car for a dyno test.
The figures showed 183 Hp and 285 Nm ! Though I think Bravo had 160
Hp from the beginning and close to 250 Nm.

One other member here installed in april 2 x 1 oval ones in Martelius and
an other on is installing the same as mine in 15.10. Will send some pictures !
Here´s one from mine:

This is the darkest version. Two lighter ones also. Made by a car painter here.
Notice also, that the brake light, fog light, reverse light and the lower bumber
are also tinted ( bumber painted ).

Snowtiger:
How much would it cost, approximately, to buy the VW grille material
to lower part ? Just one piece.

Is the original grille pop-off style and did you use the original outside
and just mounted the new one in ?

Danke schön !

So, lets give it a try in English:

The Scirocco grill costs ~45€ each, normally you will need two, one for the lower and one for the upper grill of your Bravo. I screwed up one, so I needed 3.

First cut out the the grid of the original FIAT grill. Then it will look like this:
Kühlergrill + Wabengitter = Wabengrill

Now cut the Honeycombs out of the VW grill. The VW grill is very big, see attachment 1. Cut along the turquoise line on attachment 2. You can use the lower borderline of the VW grill an glue it later in the FIAT grill. But before we can start gluing, we need to adjust the bending of the VW grill. The FIAT grill has more bending, so we need to increase the bending of the VW grill. I used a 600W spotlight to heat up the material and built some kind of form to bend the VW grill a little bit more.

The next step is to cut the VW grill so it will fit in the FIAT grill. Think twice, cut once, test, think twice again, cut a little bit, test, test again, think, cut... It will take a while. :)
You can use exactly the height of 4 combs for the lower grill and 2.5 for the upper one. Now glue the comb in the grill. Be sure to use some glue that glues PP, PTFE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polypropylene).

Now fill all gaps with some plastic. I used a soldering gun and some special easy melting plastic sticks (normally used to repair the coating of skis).

Probably the longest work comes now: sand everything clean... ...and paint it black.
